Search as the whole design
With a collection this size, browsing is not a feature, it is the entire experience. We built the index around a single field and let the results do every other job a page normally does.
Thumbnails load at one fixed width so the grid never reflows while reading. It is a small decision that makes eight thousand images feel finite.
